The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) is the largest stock market in the Thai region. The major Thai index tracks all the common stocks listed the exchange. Thailand’s economy is largely driven by the industrial sector, which makes up about 40% of GDP. This is also reflected in the stock market with large industrial companies making up a large portion of the index.
Notable companies on the stock market of Thailand are Siam Cement PCL (SCC), Bangkok Life Insurance (BLA), Thai Airways (THAI), Thai Agro Energy (TAE), Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) and Thai Oil (TOP).
