The major index is the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI Index, which tracks the performance of 30 largest companies by full market capitalisation listed on the Main Board of the Bursa Malaysia.
Some of the largest and most well-known listed stocks are Malayan Banking Bhd (MAYBANK), Sime Darby Berhad (SIME), CIMB Group Holdings Bhd (CIMB), Petronas Chemical Bhd (PCHEM) and Maxis Berhad (MAXIS).
