The Singapore stock market (SGX) is home to some of the largest companies in South East Asia. The major index is the Straits Time Index (STI), which tracks the top 30 stocks in the index. The financial sector contributes about 35% of the weighting to the index making it the largest sector in the Singapore market. The other dominant sector is real estate investment trusts with some of the largest REITs in Asian choosing to list on the Singapore stock market.
Some of the largest and most well-known stocks are DBS Group (D05), Singtel (Z74), Singapore Airlines (C6L), CapitaLand (C31) and PropNex (OYY).
